The main objective of the Plan is to evaluate new pathogen-resistant varieties, recently obtained through genetic improvement, in order to obtain objective information on their actual agronomic and oenological performance, with a view to their cultivation in the context of regional wine production.

In particular, resistant varieties will also be evaluated in a highly sustainable agronomic management ‘pathway’ aimed at preserving water, soil fertility, reducing pollutant releases and mitigating the effects of climate change.
